How to equip saddles and ride Pals in Palworld
The saddle you craft and take from the Pal Gear Workbench is automatically equipped afterwards. Don't get confused if you don't see the newly crafted saddle in your inventory. In fact, it's there, but in a Key Items tab, which is located in the left corner. In the screenshot above, you can see what this tab looks like and where it is located. This is designed to ensure that the saddles or other Key Items you craft do not take up additional slots in the main inventory, but still fulfil their function.
Saddles and other Key Items weigh nothing, so you can craft dozens of them without worrying about overloading. So, when you craft a saddle and pick it up from the Pal Gear Workbench, you can immediately mount and ride the Pal for which you crafted it. It is worth noting that for each type of Pal, you will need to craft a saddle separately, and not all Pals can be ridden.
To find out which Pals you can ride, you'll need to go to the Technology tab. Here, in addition to items, weapons, and structures, you will see some slots with an icon of a certain type of Pals. By hovering over them, you will see what they are, and you can find out more information by reading the description.
It's worth noting that not all Key Items in the Technology tab are intended for creating a saddle, as some of them serve other purposes, such as shooting Pengullet from the Rocket Launcher. In fact, these Key Items unlock the Partner Skills of your Pals, which is why there are not only saddles but also other things too.
