If you’re on the hunt for a new Pal in Palworld, Gildane is one to keep an eye out for.
With its golden fur and useful abilities, this Ground-type Pal is perfect for getting around and taking on foes.
This guide will explain where to find Gildane, how to catch it, and what makes it a handy companion.
Where To Find Gildane
Gildane is mostly found in the desert zones of Feybreak Island, near the edges of the map.
You can find this Pal in one of the best locations southwest of the Emberstone Plateau teleport point, at coordinates (-761, -1224), where a level 58 Alpha Gildane is patrolling.
This version is harder to capture, but it's more of a challenge and comes with better rewards.
You can also check out the area west of the Scorched Ashland fast-travel point, up north on Feybreak Island at coordinates (-840, -835).
If you're heading further west, you can locate Gildane north of the Foxparks Cryst Alpha boss area, roughly at coordinates (-1303, -1259).
These locations are consistent hotspots for encountering Gildane. To capture it, you must plan ahead.
Go up against it to lower its health, but don’t finish it off. You can hit your target from a distance with ranged weapons, staying safe.
Position yourself behind Gildane to throw a capture sphere when its health is low.
Taking the enemy from behind boosts your chances, so time your moves right.
If the capture doesn’t go as planned, try again quickly before Gildane breaks free or recovers.
For those who like breeding over exploring, just hatch a Huge Rocky Egg to get Gildane.
This way, the best stats and passive skills are transferred from the parents, giving the offspring a solid foundation.
Gildane's spawn can vary day and night, so check the Palpedia in-game for up-to-date info and adjust your search.
Gildane works well as a mount, but it’s useless at your base with a Gathering level of just 2.
Its speed and mobility make it stand out, plus the Sandstorm’s Blessing Partner Skill that boosts Ground-type damage while you're riding.
If you take down Gildane instead of catching it, you'll get leather, which is great for crafting.
