How to get Basculin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Since Basculin is a fish-style Pokemon, you can only find it in water. So if you want to get it, search for it with a Pokemon that can swim. There is only one place where Basculin can be found: the northeast part of the Kitakami map.
You need to look for it on the border of Timeless Woods and Kitakami Wilds. There is a river that flows deep into the forest and creates a small pond. This is where Basculin spawns.
How to evolve Basculin into Basculegion in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
The Pokemon that evolves from Basculin is called Basculegion. The method of obtaining Basculegion is quite specific and may seem a bit complicated. To evolve, you need your Basculin to deal 294 recoil damage to itself. It is important that it doesn't faint during this time. Otherwise, the progress will be lost.
It 's best to use Double Edge to fulfil the conditions as it will heal you at the end of the battle. This move can be learned on Basculin's Summary page after reaching level 52. After you think Basculin has already received enough recoil damage, level it up to evolve it to Basculegion.
