How to get Walking Wake in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
If you're looking to get Walking Wake, you have a few options. This Pokemon is exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet in terms of finding it's Tera crystal in the overworld. Players in Pokemon Violet are able to join Walking Wake raids via the Poke Portal though so everyone can snag this Poke. The Tera Raid is a five star raid, which does mean that you'll be able to capture multiple of these Pokemon.
Let's talk about this Pokemon first of all. Walking Wake is a Water and Dragon type Pokemon with a Water Tera Type. It also has high base special attack and it's signature move is Hydro Stream. This move is an 80 base power special move, but if it's used in Harsh Sunlight, then it's base power is raised to 120. Walking Wake also has a crazy high base stat total of 590, rivalling some of the best Pokemon in this generation, like Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant.
For it's moves, Walking Wake will have Hydro Stream, Dragon Pulse, Noble Roar, and Flamethrower. It will also use Sunny Day at the start of the fight, boosting the power of Hydro Stream.
Now what Pokemon are you going to want to bring to this fight? Well, for this battle, something like a Belly Drum Iron Hands would be a very solid choice. You'll want to make sure that it's EV trained in Special Defense and Attack, and you'll want to be sure that you also have it equipped with a Booster Energy as well. For it's moves you'll want to give it Belly Drum and Wild Charge, and make use of your healing cheers. You should be able to get it to a quarter or lower health in one shot.
Where you'll have to be a bit more careful is when Walking Wake puts up it shield. Having something like Thunder Punch available to dish out some decent damage while building towards your Terastalization will be very helpful.
That being said, unless you have a very coordinated team, we'd recommend you go at this alone. These Tera Raid Pokemon are very strong, and require as much set up and strategy as a six or seven star raid battle. Only having your Pokemon faints reducing the timer is absolutely necessary here.
