Can you join all the factions in Starfield?
Yes, you can join all main factions in Starfield, and complete their quests. There are lots you can join simultaneously, but also there are some in the background who don't play a significant role.
However, you can start out by joining many of the main factions in Starfield. The main quest naturally introduces you to the likes of Constellation and the Crimson Fleet, and you'll meet characters like Sam Coe who lets you join the Freestar Collective. However, others like Slayton Aerospace and Stroud-Eklund appear as a narrative dressing for quests and don't run deep enough for you to properly join. You'll see their headquarters, but never actually get the chance to join their ranks.
All faction quests start off operating independently of one another, so you can technically run through and complete them simultaneously without choosing a side.
