There's plenty riding on the Season Two update for Warzone 2. The next season of Call of Duty's battle royale aims to address numerous issues impacting the game in addition to reverting new innovations made when it launched back in November. With so many Warzone 2 Season Two changes on the way, it's tricky to keep track of everything.
Many members of the community believe the next update for Warzone 2 is make or break. If the developers manage to apply all of the changes with minimal problems, there's a chance players return to Al Mazrah but if not, the downward slope to failure will continue.
Before we take a look at all the Warzone 2 Season Two changes, take a look at our other guides highlighting the current Warzone 2 meta and when the next Warzone 2 double XP event taking place.
All Warzone 2 Season Two changes
There are numerous changes on the way to Warzone 2 as part of the Season Two update. In recent weeks, Infinity Ward and Raven Software have unveiled some of the major adjustments coming to the battle royale. Here's what you need to know.
A 1v1 gulag
Following the introduction of a 2v2 gulag, the vast majority of players demanded it to return to a 1v1 setting and Infinity Ward will deliver. From Season Two, the gulag returns to a 1v1 battleground. Simply win your fight to earn a second chance at victory.
It's unclear if the jailer will remain but the chances of two opponents joining forces to defeat the AI combatant are extremely slim.
Looting changes
Alongside the gulag, changes to looting are on the way. At the moment, you have to search through the backpacks of eliminated players to obtain the loot but from Season Two onwards, all of the loot from fallen soldiers and from any loot containers will pop out and float on the ground.
This makes it much easier to pick up their guns, ammunition, grenades, and cash. It's a simple change but one that's capable of increasing the overall pace of the game.
More cash, lower prices
Up next are adjustments to the amount of cash in Al Mazrah and the Buy Station prices. On January 23, Infinity Ward reveals more lootable cash will appear on the map alongside the balancing of prices.
It's unclear which prices are receiving changes but there's a strong possibility it impacts the constant storage of killstreaks in the backpacks of players.
Armour adjustments
Another update involves armour and has the potential to create more consistent gunfights in the heat of battle. Three-plate armour vests are now standard in battle royale matches which is great news. Now for a TTK increase?
Customisable perk packages
You can create your own perk packages as part of a loadout in Season Two! However, Infinity Ward says there's a limited selection so make sure you choose wisely when dropping into Al Mazrah.
