The FACEIT Ignite European Halo Open Event is taking place this weekend! This marks the first event in almost 10 years to see Halo 3 on European soil, 32 teams are flying to London to compete over two days to win the lions share of $25,000.
The future is bright for Halo, with Halo Infinite set for a 2020 release, the community has been enjoying a series of Halo 3 tournament as of recent.

Format
Day one will feature a Swiss-system, where teams will require three wins to progress to the Upper Bracket. Day two will feature a Double Elimination bracket.
This format operates differently to traditional HCS events. The tournament starts with a Swiss group stage taking place over four rounds. You need to win three games to advance to Sunday and ultimately three losses will send you home.
Championship Sunday will get back to traditional with a double elimination bracket culminating with a best of seven grand final.
