Halo Infinite: How To Use The Heatwave
Each Heatwave magazine carries a maximum capacity of 8 rounds, where each shot launches 6 shells. The projectiles bounce and ricochet off your enemies, impacting them in the process. This makes the Heatwave effective against large groups of enemy Spartans, as the shots rebound multiple times.
The fire rate is really quick too, acting as a semi-automatic shotgun. You can't zoom in with the Heatwave, so the weapon is only impactful at short-range. But if you do press the zoom button, the projectiles that have been shot will change direction.
Normally, the projectiles will travel horizontally but when pressing the zoom button, the shells will move vertically. Due to its ability to ricochet projectiles, it's highly damaging against shields as the shots will continue to bounce off Spartans.
Sure to be a fan-favourite weapon in Halo Infinite, the Heatwave is super damaging and useful in smaller maps like Bazaar and Aquarius. Be sure to complement the shotgun with a more long-range weapon like the S7 Sniper or the Shock Rifle.
