Ghost of Tsushima 2 latest news
Unfortunately, there is no official news, either from Sucker Punch Productions or Sony, about Ghost of Tsushima 2. However, we cannot say that the probability of a sequel being released is zero. As always with game development, things get a little tricky here.
Without a doubt, Ghost of Tsushima is one of the studio's best-selling games. Moreover, it stands out among all the titles that were released on PS4. Therefore, it is obvious that the sequel will be able to bring even more money to the developers and joy to the players.
But since the release of Tsushima, Sucker Punch Productions hasn't said a word about what game it's currently working on. It could be either the coveted Ghost of Tsushima 2 or a completely new title. What we are certain of is that the game in development is not part of the Sly Cooper and Infamous series. The developers announced this in their blog.
Therefore, we expect that in 2023, the studio will announce a new game, and we will finally find out the truth. It would be cool if they could create a new game about Japan, or about other significant historical events. Or maybe they will release Ghost of Tsushima for PC.
What we'd love to see in Ghost of Tsushima 2
Even though there is no official information about Ghost of Tsushima 2, we hope the sequel will come out. We have some ideas on how the developers can make the sequel even better. Therefore, below, we have collected five things we would love to see in Ghost of Tsushima 2.
Multiple playable characters
Jin's story in the first game is very interesting. We watched him grow as a warrior and as a person. It would be cool if the new game had at least one more character we would play in parallel, or in the New Game+.
More weapons
The katana is undoubtedly the calling card of the samurai, vut there are many different weapons to use in feudal Japan. We think that the developers should add more different primary weapons to Ghost of Tsushima 2 that can be changed and upgraded.
Locking on target
In Ghost of Tsushima, players had to fight against a group of enemies very often. The character would always lock on enemies automatically. This feature works pretty well, but it's much more convenient when we can control it. Therefore, we hope that in Ghost of Tsushima 2, players will be able to turn off the auto lock, and decide which enemies to take down.
More unique buildings
If you have completed Ghost of Tsushima, you probably noticed that many buildings in the game are the same. It also applies to the camps of the Mongols and ordinary villages. Therefore, we would like to see more than the unique buildings in the sequel's visual design.
More historical authenticity
Last but not least, the historical accuracy. The developers did a great job researching the history of Tsushima, during the development of the game. However, they did change some things. For example, Jin's armour is based on the armour of the 17th century. And it would be cool if the developers adhered more to historical facts in the new game. But this is just our opinion.
That's all that is known about the development of Ghost of Tsushima 2. Although the developers did not give any information about the sequel, they did not refute it. While you are still here, make sure to check our guide on how to discover your next objective in Ghost of Tsushima.
