SuperData has released information about November 2020’s gaming sales figures.
And while the game didn’t feature in the Top 10 sellers list for the console, we’re looking at Spider-man Miles Morales’ sales figures!
The Sony exclusive sold really well, but didn’t quite beat out its predecessor.
Miles Morales only sold 663K digital units across PlayStation 4 and 5, a long way behind Marvel’s Spider-Man’s sales of 2.2M in September 2018.
But the news wasn’t all bad!
Spider-man Miles Morales was heavily compared to Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and sales of the former were “significantly higher” than the latter!
Though is any of this a shock?

Why Did Spider-man PS4 Sell So Well?
It’s not a surprise that Spider-man PS4 outsold Miles Morales.
The original came out roughly 5 years after the PS4 released, whereas Miles Morales was a launch title for the PS5.
On top of this, Miles’ solo story was billed as having a smaller scope and being shooter in length than Spider-man PS4.
With massive games like Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Cyberpunk 2077 all coming out around the same time, it’s not a surprise that players would favor these larger titles.
Sure Spider-man Miles Morales is also available on the PS4, but some of us here without PS5s are waiting to get the new console before web-swinging into Miles’ shoes.

It also can’t be ignored that a pandemic is going on right now, with job loss rates being incredibly high and furlough meaning people aren’t earning as much, it’s also likely that people have less disposable income to throw away on video games right now, especially so close to Christmas.
Then there is also that Peter Parker is a more recognizable character than miles Morales right now.
Films like Into The Spider-verse are doing much to change this, but the fact stills remain that for most people Peter Parker is THE Spider-man, so a spin-off focussing on another character from the universe might not have as much traction.
Regardless of how well it sold, Spider-man Miles Morales was certainly a fun game, and we can’t wait to play more in Insomniac’s
