After realizing that Minecraft Story Mode was that one friend they needed all along, Minecraft fans are now ecstatic about the movie, especially how the trailer portrayed the game's wolf mob.

Quite contrary to their username, Reddit user u/thiscat129 shared that they love the movie's wolf design, to which many fellow Minecraft players agreed. One fan even mentioned that the wolf design remind them of the superhero dog, Bolt.

Sporting a pair of square ears and a square snout, the movie version of the wolf mob is similar to the real-world version, complete with fluffy fur.

Compared to how the community reacted to the movie's sheep design during the teaser trailer, it seems like they are slowly warming up to the movie now that it showed more Minecraft elements in the recent trailer.

Another fan added that the movie had fantastic designs for the sword, which Jack Black as Steve is seen crafting using a crafting table.

According to the trailer, Steve came from the real world and was teleported to the game world when he found a cube similar to The Avengers' Tesseract.

He came out of a blue portal that had a black border around it, to which another Redditor theorized that the movie characters were possibly teleported through the game world via the screens of their devices where they play Minecraft.

Reddit user u/DarthZarcosousV2 theorizes that these blue portals are symbolic of any screens that can play Minecraft, such as PCs, phones, and TVs via consoles.

Their fellow Minecraft fans agree with the theory, considering how the teaser and the trailer had several pop-culture references.

A Minecraft Movie is set to release in April 2025, and Mojang has been planning to open two Minecraft theme parks in collaboration with Merlin Entertainments. Fans may possibly see several Movie references once these theme parks open in the US and the UK.
