Activision Reveal Call of Duty XP 2016

In an announcement made today, June 8th, Activision have announced the official return of Call of Duty XP.

The ultimate 3-day Call of Duty fan celebration is scheduled to take place on September 2nd-4th and will be held in Los Angeles at The Forum. The Call of Duty Championship will take place alongside CoD XP and will feature the “largest pay-out” in CoD history, $2,000,000.

The previous CoD XP event was held in 2011 and featured the first million dollar tournament for professional Call of Duty. That tournament saw OpTic Gaming take home the $400,000 first place prize.

As well as the finale of the Call of Duty World League, the event will also contain a real-life Nuketown Paintball experience, Zombies laser tag, an exclusive PlayStation VR experience and the opportunity to become one of the first people in the world to play multiplayer on both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Re-Mastered.

Tickets for the event will go on sale on June 11th and will range from $49 to $199 but you must be over the age of 18 in order to attend.
