Millenium and Splyce set to clash at Call of Duty Championships
Two of Europe's brightest hopes for the Call of Duty Championships, Splyce and Millenium, have been drawn into Group A for the event taking place at CoD XP in Los Angeles in a few weeks’ time.
Millenium, the CoD World League Season One and Two champions, were drawn as a top seeded team, while Splyce, who were the winners of the 2016 Gfinity CWL Summer Masters, came into Group B from Pot 2. While both teams have been facing off all year in the CoD World League, this meeting at the final, and biggest, event of the year, will be their first meeting at a LAN event in Black Ops 3. Joining them in Group A are American squad Living The Dream, and Revoltables.
Elsewhere, all eyes are on Groups C and E as potential "Group of Death" candidates. In Group C, American squad Luminosity will need to keep their wits about them, as they face off with the ANZ region's top teams in Mindfreak and Chiefs eSports, along with the FAB Games squad, formerly Exertus, who are talented enough to cause plenty of problems. In Group E, FaZe Clan are joined by the always impressive eLevate, the dangerous Spaniards Giants Gaming, and the newly qualified Corn, who boast Methodz and Blfire among their ranks.
Fan favourites OpTic Gaming find themselves in Group H with Complexity, PNDA Gaming and Team LDLC, while Team EnVyUs joined Cloud9, Orbit and Vitality in Group G.
