Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be getting a special announcement during the Gamescom 2019 opening night reveal stream. This instantly makes us think that a Modern Warfare 2019 Battle Royale will be the announcement that we are about to hear, with its absence from the mutliplayer global reveal.
So far the Modern Warfare 2019 Battle Royale has been rumoured but nothing concrete has been announced; in many isntances Infinity Ward have tried to downplay the idea of a battle royale and that it is focusing on the mutliplayer.
What Is The Special Announcement And When Is It?
Geoff Keighley, who is working on the Gamescom Opening Night Live show, tweeted out that Infinity Ward will be with him with new footage and a special announcement about Modern Warfare.

Its already been confirmed that we will see Modern Warfare 2019 Campaign and Spec Ops gameplay soon, most likely the main feature of Gamescom 2019, however we've yet to understand what this special announcement is. The most logical idea is that it is the Modern Warfare 2019 Battle Royale.
Most that dare guess are all choosing to believe it is the Battle Royale mode, even TheGamingRevoluion (who has been providing the major Battle Royale leaks) agrees.
We will find out during the Gamescom 2019 Opening Night Live stream, starting at 7pm BST.
