Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 will re-introduce the night vision goggles creating a completely new gameplay experience, this will come along with several new features such as Gunsmith, new killstreaks, perks and weapons.
The goggles can be turned off and on at any time within multiplayer but they will feature heavily on the maps set in darkness and the new realism mode which will feature no head-up display (HUD) and no hitmarkers, making the ability to see the enemy the most important tool to have.

Attachments & Character Models Will Be Affected
The weapon attachments in Modern Warfare perform differently when the goggles have been equipped. Just like in the real world, you are unable to fully aim down the sights due to the size of the goggles.
There are some attachments within the game that will allow players to fully zoom in with their respective weapon of choice such as the various laser sights and scopes that are available to choose.
Laser sights enable players to decrease the spread of hip-fire and could be used to highlight enemies.
With such a diverse range of attachments available, it’s going to be amazing to see all the different combinations that give players the upper hand in the total darkness.
Along with the attachments, the character models within the game will have NVGs on all the operators in multiplayer after fans spotted that the goggles weren't visible in any of the night map gameplay.
Since then, Infinity Ward Art Director Joel Emslie has revealed that NVG models will even flip up and down when it's toggled on or off
