Call of Duty Leak Reveals Planned 2026 and 2027 Releases

Major Call of Duty leaks have seemingly made their way online, teasing what Activision Blizzard could be planning for their annual shooter. Fans should take this with a grain of salt since these aren’t confirmed and plans could change, but given how credible the sources are, there’s some credibility.

Well-known leakers VISCERAL and VondyIsPog have claimed that Activision Blizzard have already decided on the games coming out in 2026 and 2027. “Project Devilwood” is the 2026 game developed by Infinity Ward and it will reportedly be a new entry in the Ghost sub-series. Meanwhile, “Project Anvil” is supposedly developed by Sledgehammer Games and is going to be a new Advanced Warfare entry.

Fan feedback to the Call of Duty leaks have been interesting, with many disappointed that we won’t be getting Modern Warfare 4 in any of these years. This is interesting because most fans agree that the recent Modern Warfare 3 was a trainwreck with a bad campaign, though online multiplayer is solid.

Only time will tell if any of this ends up being true, though the two leakers have uncovered actual news before. It will be interesting to see if Activision Blizzard does decide to revisit the Ghosts and Advanced Warfare series’, given the focus on Modern Warfare, Black Ops, and Warzone.

Speaking of Black Ops, many fans are assuming that the Call of Duty game getting announced next month will be a new entry in Black Ops. There are even some fans who think they managed to guess the game’s title already, though we really won’t know until June. Still, this new entry is expected to be announced after an Xbox Showcase, which should get people talking.

Details on the new Call of Duty game will be announced this coming June, so fans won’t have to wait too long for new details. In the meantime, fans can pick up Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
