Let’s talk about the main game mode - it has received very few additions, which has sparked frustration among players. This has also led to players questioning the priorities of developers.
It’s incredibly clear that there wasn’t too much thought or effort put into this collaboration, and Star Wars fans looking forward to the event have been disappointed. LEGO Fortnite received some decent content, but base Fortnite has been left behind in terms of new content.
One Reddit user complained saying, “It doesn't even feel like Star Wars. One Saber, a couple Trooper NPCs, Vader & Chewbacca. I get assets went to LEGO and the music mode but still. Last year was better with skins and content.”
Another user reported their disappointment with the overall execution, “It was only supposed to be a mini update but I agree I am a bit disappointed in how they executed it. Though I am grateful we got a Chewie skin!”
When Disney purchased a $1.5 billion stake in Epic Games in February, expectations were high. While we did get some huge LEGO Fortnite additions, this event hasn’t felt as great as the previous ones.
