Rockstar Games’ first official trailer for GTA VI is on its way sooner than many expected. After years of waiting, the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer release date has been revealed.
Revealed by Rockstar on social media, the GTA VI trailer release date has been officially scheduled for Tuesday, December 5th, 2023.
Previously, fans expected the GTA trailer to release during The Game Awards 2023 celebrations. However, Rockstar has decided to make a splash just days before The Game Awards’ celebrations.
The Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer will release at 9AM Eastern Time, 6AM Pacific Time, 3PM British Standard Time. The trailer will be released on YouTube, Twitter and likely every other social media platform.
GTA VI has sadly been the target of huge leaks over the past year, revealing early development footage of the title that was not ready to be shown. However, this did at least give fans an idea of what the tone for the game is going to be, a tone that’s been confirmed in recent marketing.
Grand Theft Auto 6 brings players back to Vice City, a location not seen since the PSP spin-off Vice City Stories. The game is also set to have a dual protagonist storyline, including the first ever female protagonist in a GTA game.
While the new Grand Theft Auto game doesn’t currently have a release date, many are under the assumption the title will launch in 2024. While GTA V suffered numerous delays following its announcement, Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 managed to release just months after its initial reveal.
Nevertheless, Rockstar is gearing up to release GTA VI soon, going as far as to scrap its Social Club online network for a new generation of online connectivity.
With GTA Trilogy now making its way to Netflix, even classic entries in Rockstar’s iconic open world franchise are still a massive get. After a decade of GTA V being one of the best selling games of all time, can the sequel take its crown? Only time will tell.
