Bully is still beloved by many gamers, despite being decades old now, with most fans giving up hope on a potential sequel. What makes this more annoying is that Rockstar Games knows that fans want more of this game and refuses to do anything about it.

Twitter user videotechuk checked out the redesigned Rockstar Games launcher, where it shows that Bully is one of the company’s most popular games. If the launcher is anything to go by, it is the fourth most-played Rockstar game, only behind Red Dead Redemption 2, the GTA Trilogy, and GTA 5.

Fans have wanted a new entry in this “series” for years, but Rockstar Games has only ever re-released the game for modern systems. On one hand, it’s good to know that fans can buy this game on most of the consoles they own. However, the fact that Rockstar knows people like the series and won’t do anything about it is pretty annoying.

Admittedly, Rockstar isn’t the only publisher who does this, as there are numerous Capcom, Konami, and Nintendo franchises that could use a new entry. What makes this less excusable is that Rockstar hasn’t made a new game in years, only really working on GTA 5, Red Dead 2, and the upcoming GTA 6.

Considering the amount of social issues that teenagers go through right now, a Bully sequel could end up feeling relevant and interesting. Granted, Rockstar doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to social issues, but they could make up for previous transgressions with a new game.

Rockstar Games is currently working on GTA 6, two generations after GTA 5, with the first trailer gaining immediate attention from fans. The devs have promised that visuals seen in that video are indicative of the real game but let’s wait and see. Meanwhile, Bully is readily available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
