While Sony has already announced its latest entry to the PS5 line, Nintendo has yet to give more details about the upcoming Switch 2. There has been no official news about its release yet, but rumors and leaks confirm otherwise. Considering the popularity of Splatoon 3 and the franchise, Nintendo could have plans for Splatoon 4 as a Switch 2 release title.
According to Naavik, a gaming consultancy firm, Nintendo has created separate development teams called Entertainment Planning and Development groups (EPDs) for its IPs. The developers for Animal Crossing and Splatoon are in one EPD, and with the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp announcement, it is safe to say that Splatoon 4 is possibly already in the works.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is speculated to be a more powerful console than the Switch, and many games, such as Pokemon Z-A, are rumored to be launch titles. With more powerful hardware, the Nintendo Switch 2 can surely run the games listed here.
