Our Honkai Star Rail Topaz build will help you hit for massive damage. Topaz is an upcoming 5-star Fire character that treads on the Path of the Hunt. While Hoyoverse has officially teased her for a patch 1.4 release, not much is known about her backstory. If you missed out on Seele, then Topaz is a great single-target DPS you want to pick up.
Topaz will be the third 5-star Hunt character after Seele and Yanqing, but her playstyle is completely different from her counterparts. She can summon Warp Trotters that enhance her stats and aid her in battle. This is the first summoner-style character we are getting in Honkai Star Rail and players have high expectations from Topaz’s kit.

The best Honkai Star Rail Topaz build
Topaz is designed to be a single-target DPS just like other Hunt characters so our goal is to take advantage of buffs built into her kit as well as relics, weapons, and other sources.
Best light cone for Topaz
The Moles Welcome You: For every Basic ATK, Skill, and Ultimate used by the wearer, the wearer gains one stack of Mischievous. Each stack increases the wearer's ATK by 12%.
In The Night: Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 12%. While the wearer is in battle, for every 10 SPD that exceeds 100, increase the wearer's Basic ATK and Skill DMG by 15%, and increase the CRIT DMG of their Ultimate by 8%. This effect can stack up to 8 times.
Annoyed and Happy: Increases Crit DMG of the wearer and increases damage dealt by follow-up attacks as well. After the wearer casts an attack, if it hits an enemy target that was previously hit in their previous attack, they will gain one layer of [Vitality Food]. But if it hits another enemy, the stack of [Vitality Food] will drop. So each stack of [Vitality Food] will increase the wearer’s ATK, and the effect can be stacked up a couple of times.
Annoyed and Happy is Topaz’s signature light cone which synergises perfectly with her kit. But if you are looking for a free-to-play option, The Moles Welcome You is a fantastic choice too.
Best Relics for Topaz
So the best set for Topaz is undoubtedly the Firesmith of Lava-Forging. It works well on all Fire DMG characters and Topaz is no different. She can get a 12% skill damage bonus as well as a 12% Fire damage bonus, which synergizes well with her kit. So you want to get her to around 134 SPD and focus on getting as much Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and ATK% as possible from relic stats.
Firesmith of Lava-Forging
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Fire DMG by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer's Skill DMG by 12%. After unleashing Ultimate, increases the wearer's Fire DMG by 12% for the next attack.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat
- 2-Piece Bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: The wearer's SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.
Space Sealing Station (Planar Ornament)
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer's ATK increases by another 12%.
What are Topaz’s abilities?

Talent | At the start of the battle, summons her pet with 90 speed. When Topaz uses a skill to target an enemy, the creature targets that enemy (if possible; otherwise targets a random enemy). When the creature attacks, it deals Fire DMG and recovers 15 energy if the target is Burned. |
Technique | After using her technique, the creature is released from bondage at the start of the next battle, and after taking one turn, returns to bondage status. |
What are Topaz’s Eidolons?
So going for Eidolons is not recommended if you are a free-to-play player and her early Eidolons are not as impactful. But if you are looking to get the most out of her, you may want to go for Topaz’s light cone instead.
