Chevreuse is a new character introduced in Genshin Impact via the game’s voice lines and NPC interactions. There are some leaks surrounding her, so our Genshin Impact Chevreuse build guide will allow you to pre-farm for her and get the best artifacts and weapons ready.
Chevreuse is rumoured to be a 4-star Pyro polearm character, making her the first-ever character in that archetype since Xiangling, who arrived in patch 1.0 during the game’s launch. We have very limited information regarding her kit, however, and you should probably wait for an official announcement by Hoyoverse before you start pre-farming for her materials.
She is at least a couple of patches away, so you have plenty of time to prepare your resources. But before we dig deeper into Chevreuse’s optimal build, consider checking out our best Neuvillete build and best Furina build in case you are saving up for them.
Best Genshin Impact artifacts for Chevreuse
If you want to build Chevreuse as a damage dealer, then the Crimson Witch set is by far the best option. So for a support-oriented build, look no further than Noblesse Oblige.
Noblesse Oblige
- 2-piece effect: Elemental Burst DMG +20%
- 4-piece effect: Using an Elemental Burst increase all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.
Crimson Witch of Flames
- 2-piece effect: Pyro Damage Bonus +15%
- 4-piece effect: Increases Overloaded and Burning, and Burgeon DMG by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%. Using Elemental Skill increases the 2-Piece Set Bonus by 50% of its starting value for 10s. Max 3 stacks.
Best weapons in Genshin Impact for Chevreuse
So here are some of the recommended weapons for Chevreuse:
Primordial Jade Winged Spear: On hit, increases ATK by 3.2% for 6s. Max 7 stacks. This effect can only occur once every 0.3s. While in possession of the maximum possible stacks, DMG dealt is increased by 12%.
Favonius Lance: CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.
Primordial Jade Winged Spear might be the best option if you are looking for a DPS build. But for a more support-oriented build with maximum burst uptime, Favonius Lance is a great free-to-play option.
Best team comps in Genshin Impact for Chevreuse
So we currently do not have any official or leaked information regarding Chevreuse’s playstyle, which makes theory-crafting her teams impossible. Considering that she is a Pyro character, she could fit into Vaporize, Melt, Burgeon, Burning, or Mono Pyro teams depending on how her kit interacts with other characters.
But for now, we'll have to wait for any information on how she plays in the meta.
Release date
Unfortunately, we do not have a release date for Chevreuse just yet. Since she is involved with Fontaine’s storyline we can expect her to arrive sometime in the coming patches. However, there are leaks suggesting that she will be playable in patch 4.3. So this means that we will hopefully get her sometime around late December or early January if the leaks are true.
