New Overwatch 2 Gameplay Will Be Shown Next Week

Following its announcement back in 2019 at BlizzCon, development on Overwatch 2 seems to be progressing steadily. Having previously released details on its dynamic weather and day/night variants for its maps, we will finally get to see extensive gameplay from the sequel at next week's Overwatch League grand finals.

Blizzard is hosting its Overwatch League finals next week and fans will get new updates on the sequel at the event. During the preshow and halftime show of the finals, Blizzard will show off Overwatch 2 gameplay through an example Exhibition Match.

New Overwatch 2 Gameplay Will Be Shown Next Week

The showcase will also include previews of Bastion and Sombra's new looks and reworks. Many of Overwatch's original characters are incurring reworks, with those changes also coming to Doomfist, Wrecking Ball, and Tracer.

Overwatch 2 has yet to receive an official launch date but rumours are pointing towards a Q2 2022 release. This news comes to us a few days after Activision-Blizzard's employees issued a lawsuit against the company for unfair labor practices, two months after being sued by the State of California for sexist and discriminatory allegations.
