Persona 5 Strikers is finally available so fans of the Atlus RPG can finally experience the next epic tale of Joker and The Phantom Thieves. While Strikers has some striking (ha!) similarities to Persona 5, players will be quick to discover a number of things that set the game apart from its predecessors. While there are no Confidants or romance options, the game does have a new ‘Bond’ mechanic that is similar to what Persona fans tend to enjoy.

Persona 5 Strikers: How to Increase Bond Levels Fast
Bond skills are special perks that make your party more powerful and can be upgraded by gaining Bond points. However, this isn’t done in that classic Persona fashion where you pick a day out of your schedule to watch a movie with your friends. No, Bond points are usually earned through completing battles, Requests, Jails, and visiting places for fun.
Okay, so maybe a little bit like Persona 5.
When you're making your way through the story of Persona 5 Strikers and you’re introduced to the Bond skills mechanic, there’s a special skill called Bondmaker that increases the Bond points you get. Make sure to prioritize leveling this skill up as this will make grinding for these points a lot easier and should minimize backtracking.
Now that Bondmaker has been leveled up, players should complete as many battles as they can, finish Requests, take down Jails, and visit places with your teammates when that big opportunity arrives. It’s definitely less stressful than the Confidant/Social Links mechanic from previous games, though the fact that these are limited to upgrades does make them a little less fulfilling to accomplish.
Still, getting these Bond skills does add more to the game and if you’re a Persona 5 fan, chances are that you’ll wanna make the most out of your time with this great sequel. While we can only hope for a proper sequel in the future, Persona 5 Strikers is still a great time and you will likely form a Bond with it upon completion.
Persona 5 Strikers is now available on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
