Pokemon GO: Incense Day: Water And Dark Type Guide (17th May) - Times, Dates, Schedule, Which Pokemon Are Included And More

Pokemon GO has decided to run another Incense Day, shortly after the first-ever event in April, in an attempt to fight the COVID-19 epidemic and bring more Pokemon to players at home.

The augmented reality mobile game usually encourages players to venture outside, but the latest event will allow die-hard fans to stay indoors and still catch Pokemon.

While many are waiting for Sword and Shield's first expansion, Isle of Armor, Pokemon GO is providing a great release for Pokemon fans.

Incense Colour Change - 16th May

The Niantic Support Twitter account tweeted that during Incense Day: Water and Dark Type, Incense will change colour from green to orange.

This colour change signifies that your Incense will attract Pokémon featured in the current event to your location!

New 'Play At Home' Format

Pokémon Go will resume its regular Community Days with a lockdown-friendly Play At Home format.

As well as players having double the time to catch Pokémon, incense instead of lures will now last the duration of the event, letting you play where you are (whether there are PokéStops nearby or not).

The event's bonus will be triple catch Stardust, and there will be a "surprise" in-store if you take a Snapshot of your Pokémon during the event.

 

What Is Incense Day In Pokemon Go?

Incense Day is a special in-game Pokemon Go event that features Incense spawns that rotate every hour of the event.

This time players will be able to catch a variety of Water and Dark-type Pokemon.

Trainers can also expect an event-exclusive 1 PokeCoin bundle featuring three Incense in the shop.

The event begins on Sunday 17th May at 11am and ends at 5pm local time.
