Pokemon GO will be introducing competitive battling next year, called the 'Go Battle League', for the first time to the augmented realty mobile game. Pokemon GO, developed and published by Niantic, has been going for over 3 years and its only now that we are starting to see the game reach the same standards the handheld games have set. With Pokemon Sword And Shield around the corner, it's exciting time to be a Pokemon fan and it wouldn't be out of the question to see competitive Pokemon GO take up a spot at the Pokemon Championships 2020.
Go Battle League Details
Posted on the Pokemon GO website, they detail that players will need to explore the world (by walking) to earn entry into the GO Battle League, then battle opponents from around the globe through online matchmaking. As it suggests, players will be ranked and matched up against similar skilled opponents.
It's speculated that rewards will be offered for those hitting higher tiers and it may not be long before we see this as a part of the Pokemon Championships 2020.
