The Isle of Armor!

It was confirmed during the showcasing of the first expansion pack The Isle of Armor that Kingdra will be making a return to Sword and Shield.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed the water-dragon Pokemon swimming in the bay of water during the trailer.

Kingdra was introduced in generation two as the evolution and final from of Seadra.

The latter was just a regular water-type during the Kanto region, but Kingdra is vastly different.

When Seadra evolves into Kingdra it also gains a dragon typing, making it a dual water-dragon type; - definitely one of the coolest combinations in the Pokemon series!

How Do We Get It?

Normally, players would need to trade their Seadra with another player in order to evolve it into Kingdra.

There was a catch, however, Seadra would have to hold the "Dragon Scale" while being traded; which would activate the evolution.

We can assume this is the same method we are going to have to take during The Isle of Armor.

But, since Nintendo showcased Kingdra during the Pokemon Direct, maybe we will be able to catch it somewhere during our journey instead!
