Sea of Thieves' Season 4 is finally coming to a close and it's been a busy one for Rare. Having hit 25 million players, they're keen to dive into Season 5, detailing this next update through an official content update video.
Launching later this week on December 2nd, players can finally bury their treasure, which creates a custom treasure map for the island it's been buried on. If someone finds it, you'll receive the reputation that would've been earned from cashing it in. New quests are also available between Seaposts and Outposts.

Sea of Thieves Season 5 Sets Sail Later This Week
Elsewhere, new Christmas items are being added through festive firework crates, there's another 100 levels of rewards to unlock, while we've also got a Royal Revenge Ship. You can watch the full content update video below.
Right now, players can claim a limited time Halo set, which coincides with Halo Infinite's early multiplayer launch two weeks ago. The Spartan set's available until December 1st, while Noble Spartan sails last until December 8th.
Sea of Thieves is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
