The French core remains. Karmine Corp announces its lineup for the next LEC season

Karmine Corp announced its squads for this year's League of Legends EMEA Championship and Ligue Française de League of Legends. The formation left as many as four players in its ranks. A large group of French fans are certainly looking forward to Karmine Corp's debut in the LEC. The organization is very popular among the community because it is owned by a famous streamer, Kamel "Kameto" Kebir.

And besides, KC has already won everything there is to win on the EMEA Regional League stage, and with a lot of interest. The French team waited a long time to officially announce the lineup, but it finally happened.

As many as three players from the previous split remained in the squad. Lucas "Cabochard" Simon-Meslet and Lucas "Saken" Fayard have been with KCorp for over two years. And Raphaël "Targamas" Crabbé spent a total of three splits in the formation. Additionally, two former Team Vitality players joined KC. Elias "Upset" Lipp is already a veteran of the professional scene.

The German played in such formations as Schalke 04, Origen, Fnatic and Vitality. Zhou "Bo" Yang-Bo is known more for dominating the ranking queue, as his debut year in the LEC was not very successful for him. After all, the Chinese jungler was even replaced by Kacper "Daglas" Dagiel during the last round of the regular phase of the Summer Split.

This is the Karmine Corp lineup for the next LEC season:

  • Lucas "Cabochard" Simon-Meslet
  • Zhou "Bo" Yang-Bo
  • Lucas "Saken" Fayard
  • Elias "Upset" Lipp
  • Raphaël "Targamas" Crabbé
  • Jakob "YamatoCannon" Mebdi

Caliste "Caliste" Henry-Hennebert remained in the team, who made his debut in the main LFL division in the summer at the age of 16, immediately going on to win the championship and triumph at EM. The strongest point of the formation will be Linas "Lyncas" Nauncikas.

According to other players and experts, the Lithuanian jungler is already playing at the LEC level, so he should dominate in ERLs. The KC Blue squad is complemented by slightly less recognizable players: Volodymyr "Maynter" Sorokin, Vladimiros "Vladi" Kourtidis and Kadir "Fleshy" Kemiksiz. However, all three of them already have single successes under their belt. Similarly, coach Wadi "Wadi" Benarbia, who served as an assistant at KC in the 2023 season.

Changes in esports League of Legends. MSI Champion advances to Worlds!

2024 will bring several changes not only to the League of Legends itself, but also to its esports scene. They will affect both the Mid-Season Invitational and the world championships themselves. It was decided to achieve even greater uniformity, without major modifications to the format itself. Thus, the Korean and Chinese leagues are under fire.

The upcoming season will slightly reduce the pool of guaranteed places at the League of Legends World Championships for individual regions. The usual top 4 of major leagues will change into a slightly more modest top 3. Thus, LCK and LPL lose one slot each. This also eliminates the qualifying series between Europe and North America. The Pacific and Vietnam will keep their two spots. The same will apply to the Latin American and Brazilian leagues with their individual positions.

This does not mean, however, that the largest League of Legends event of the year will be limited to eighteen teams. It would be quite awkward and not very comfortable. It was decided to increase the weight of MSI. The next biggest tournament will get an additional feature. The winner will receive a guaranteed place at the World Championship. The second place will provide an additional position for the entire region.

The top teams from around the world will convene in Chengdu, China, for the cup duel on May 1.
