Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the most anticipated Star Wars projects of the year and we won’t have to wait too long until it arrives.
Disney has revealed a new poster showcasing the Jedi, alongside a confirmed release date that coincides perfectly with May the Force be with you.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Premiere Date Has Been Revealed
While it's not the 4th itself, Obi-Wan Kenobi will begin airing on Disney+ starting May 25th.
To mark the announcement, Disney and Lucasfilm also released the first poster which teases the return of Ewan McGregor's Jedi master. The show marks 17 years since the Trainspotting actor's last live-action reprisal as the beloved character.
While story details are being kept under wraps, the series will deal with the aftermath of The Revenge of the Sith. Kenobi will confront Darth Vader once again, with Hayden Christensen making a return to the dark side.
We also expect to see a young Luke Skywalker, as both Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will pop up as the pre-Jedi's parents.
The stacked cast also includes Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Uncut Gems' Benny Safdie. The six-episode series will be entirely directed by The Mandalorian's Deborah Chow.
Star Wars' latest show in The Book of Boba Fett recently wrapped up and featured the triumphant return of two key characters. With The Mandalorian set to make its return later this year, we speculated what we could see in Season 3.
