The kingdom of Cornelia is being taken over by the darkness, and only the best jobs in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will help you set things right. This Stranger of Paradise tier list is by no means a definitive look at which are the best jobs in the game - too much of that is down to your own skill and playstyle - but it is a great foundation upon which to select a class in the moment.
In Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Jack has one default job (or class): but as you start to progress, you unlock more than a few more, fleshing out the tier list. The ability to switch the jobs of Jack and his team on a whim creates instances where temporarily switching roles can help you get through some trickier situations - that's another reason why the Stranger of Paradise tier list below is simply a general idea of which roles tend to perform well in most situations.

You can access the Stranger of Paradise Battle Settings option through the following:
- Cubes
- Pause Menu
- Main Menu
- World Menu
You can equip and unequip Jobs at any point throughout the game. To do this, select the "Battle Settings" option from your main or pause menu. Then, you'll enter the equipment screen.
In the top left-hand corner of the screen, you can see the Job or Jobs that you currently have equipped. How Do I Change Ally Jobs in Stranger of Paradise?
After a certain point in the game, you can unlock Ally Jobs. Essentially, this allows you to change the Jobs for your teammates (this does not apply to multiplayer co-op). This is a great way of building their stats and their strength. Also, you can tailor their Job to suit the armour that you have given them.
You can change their Job in the same way you would for Jack:
- Enter "Battle Settings"
- Skip the page to find the one for the character you want (such as Jed)
- Click on the Job icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Select an alternate Job to apply to them from the list.

What Is the Job Tree?
The Job Tree is where you can upgrade the skills, actions, affinity, and abilities for each Job type - a major screen for building the best jobs in Stranger of Paradise.
When you unlock a new Job, the corresponding Job Tree will also unlock. As you play through the game you can level up each Job, earning Skill Points you can then spend to unlock new bonuses for your chosen class.
When you are in the main Job Tree menu, you will be able to see the Trees you have unlocked at the top of the screen. Follow the prompted control to find the one that you want. Again, if you have unspent skill points for a Tree, it will be marked by an exclamation mark.

In the bottom right-hand corner of your screen, you can see how many skill points you can spend. To find out how much each skill costs, hover over it. A small menu will appear that describes the skill and how much it costs. However, many of the skills are connected to each other in branches. This means that if the skill you want is at the end of a branch, you will need to buy the skills leading up to it before you can buy it.
On the left of the screen, you can see the current basic stats for the selected Job. You can use Anima Shards to increase your Job XP. You collect these through defeating enemies, completing missions, and playing online with friends. Knowing these stats can help you build a better and more powerful version of that Job.
How to Access the Job Tree
You can access the Job Tree by interacting with Cubes while you are on a mission. When you interact with a Cube, a "Main Menu" will appear. At the top of this menu, there will be a "Job Tree" option. If you have unspent skill points for any Job in the tree, there will be a small exclamation mark next to it. Select the option to open up the Job Tree menu.
You can also access the Job Tree menu from the world menu. Before you embark on a new mission or enter a new area, you will have access to the "Main Menu". Again, the Job Tree option will be at the top of this menu. Select it to enter the Job Tree Menu.
