Super Smash Bros Ultimate's North American Online Open kicks off this month, and it'll be a great chance to see the best players take control of their favourite characters from Nintendo and beyond.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate: North American Open
Tournament Dates And Format
Four regions will be duking it out over two weekends starting on October 24.
As per Battlefy's tournament site:
Play as much as you want during the 3 hours ladder round:
Region 1 and Region 2 will begin at 10:00 AM PT on October 24, 2020Region 3 and Region 4 will begin at 10:00 AM PT on October 31, 2020Region 5 and Region 6 will begin at 8:00 AM PT on October 31, 2020Region 7 and Region 8 will begin at 8:00 AM PT on October 24, 2020The Top 32 players from each region will advance to a single-elimination, best-of-3 bracket later in the day:
Region 1 and Region 2 will begin at 2:00 PM PT on October 24, 2020Region 3 and Region 4 will begin at 2:00 PM PT on October 31, 2020Region 5 and Region 6 will begin at 12:00 PM PT on October 31, 2020Region 7 and Region 8 will begin at 12:00 PM PT on October 24, 2020The top 4 from the single-elimination bracket will then continue onto the Finals Round. The double-elimination Finals Round will occur the following day:
Region 1 and Region 2 (“Group A”) will begin at 10:00 AM PT on October 25, 2020Region 7 and Region 8 (“Group B”) will begin at 10:00 AM PT on October 25, 2020Region 3 and Region 4 (“Group C”) will begin at 10:00 AM PT on November 1, 2020Region 5 and Region 6 (“Group D”) will begin at 10:00 AM PT on November 1, 2020

Tournament Prizes
- Grand Prize: Four (4) Grand Prize winners will each receive a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate North American Online Open October 2020 gold-colored Trophy
- First Prize: Twelve (12) First Prize winners will each receive a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate North American Online Open October 2020 silver-colored Trophy
- Second Prize: Forty-eight (48) Second Prize winners will each receive 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points.
