With Minecraft's Steve being introduced to Super Smash Bros Ultimate, it's only fitting that a new update comes along with it.
Version 9.0.0 will usher in a new era for Smash as some extensive work had to be carried out to include him in the game.
Steve is the latest addition to the Fighter Pass Vol. 2 and Mr Sakurai explained that all existing stages needed to be reworked to allow blocks to be placed.
So it's no surprise to see a big update being added - here's what's changing.

Obviously, the most important inclusion is the fighter Steve as well as the new Minecraft stage that he will come with.
We're also expecting big adjustments to the way stages work with Steve's arrival and other technical "under the hood" changes.
This includes plenty of fighter adjustments, likely to bring some of the stronger and weaker fighters more in-line and create a more even playing field
