Netflix Reveals Tekken: Bloodline, A New Animated Series Launching in 2022

Netflix has announced Tekken: Bloodline, a new animated series based on Bandai Namco’s acclaimed fighting franchise, launches later this year. Sharing the news on Netflix’s official Twitter account, that came with a brand new trailer.

Offering an adaptation of Jin Kazama’s story from Tekken 3, Bloodline focuses on how Jin learned to fight. Ogre, the final boss in Tekken 3, shows up in the trailer and seemingly kills Jin’s mother Jun Kazama, which leads to his training with Heihachi Mishima.

Netflix Announces Tekken: Bloodline Animated Series For 2022

Tekken fans will spot other iconic characters from the series roster, including King and Paul. Naturally, we'd expect more prominent fighters from the Tekken series to appear, as Bloodline's story leads up the King of Iron Fist Tournament. You can watch the full trailer below:

Presently, Netflix didn't provide a set release date for Tekken: Bloodline beyond the 2022 window. Otherwise, Tekken 7 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, while rumours of Tekken 8 have been floating around for several years.
