Everything we know about Tekken 8
One of the biggest new features in Tekken 8 is the new "Heat System", which allows players to lean into their aggressiveness as a tactic, incorporating offensive attacks into their playstyle. It seems likely that the Heat System will give access to new movements and abilities for all characters, but until we get a chance to play the game for ourselves we can't confirm any specifics.
Also coming in Tekken 8 is the new single-player game mode, "Arcade Quest". Here, players will be able to create their own avatar to battle it out against AIs in a variety of different arcades. This game mode won't be of too much interest to veterans of the series, as it serves as an introduction to the Tekken series for newcomers. Nevertheless, it's good to see Bandai Namco catering toward series newcomers, and not just their hardcore player base.
Tekken 8 also recently made headlines with the reveal of its range of innovative colourblind modes, most notably its mask filters that completely alter the appearance of the game.
