Valorant is proving to be one hell of a free-to-play shooter. The fact that it only launched last June is impressive, especially since many pegged the hero shooter genre to be dead in the water. With a new update coming in March that will introduce a new agent and more, fans are really looking forward to seeing what the next Battle Pass will have in store for them.

Is the Valorant Battle Pass a One Time Purchase?
However, there are some fans who haven’t picked up a Valorant Battle Pass, mostly getting by through playing constantly and grinding Valorant Points. Those fans are hoping that the Battle Pass is a one-time purchase and, unfortunately, that just isn’t the case. Like most games in the hero shooter genre, Valorant introduces new Battle Passes whenever the next big update comes and that won’t be changing anytime soon.
Paying once for a Valorant Battle Pass would only be possible in a perfect world but the fact of the matter is, this is a free-to-play game so if you want more content, you’re gonna have to pay up or save all those Valorant Points. Now, if you save up enough Valorant Points and play a lot, getting the new Battle Passes shouldn’t be a problem but if you’re just starting, we can see why this would seem unappealing.
Still, considering the amount of currency you can get by fulfilling the Battle Pass, it’s hard to say that they aren’t worth your while. Compared to just playing the game free, you will be able to get a number of skins, weapons, and agents in a matter of time. While the game is always going to have different Battle Passes, the content is arguably always worth it.
Valorant is available now on PC as a free-to-play game. The game’s next Battle Pass will launch with Episode 2 Act 2, which will likely come out on March 2 or beyond.
