Beat Saber is one of the best VR games to date and looks set to have more music on the way with the Original Soundtrack 5, and therefore, we can't for its release.
In short, this is the first new original soundtrack pack Beat Games has released for around a year, with previous packs involving the music of Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish. This new one is expected to be a little different though, which we'll get into in due course.

When is the Beat Saber Original Soundtrack 5 Release Date?
As things stand, we don't have a concrete release date for when the new Original Soundtrack is going to launch for Beat Saber. There is confirmation it's arriving based on the below tweet from the official Beat Saber account:
The Tweet simply details music is 'Coming Soon' but if we look back on previous music packs, OST 4 was announced on the 15th March 2021 with a release date of the 18th, so it may be the case OST 5 arrives in a matter of days, but of course, that isn't confirmed.
What's New With Beat Saber Original Soundtrack 5?
Given this is an Original music pack, it portrays this won't be one of Beat Saber's usual offerings where they collaborate with big artists such as Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga or Panic! At The Disco, as they have done over the last few years.
Instead, we're likely to see the game return to its roots with some original songs with an increasingly electronic feel, as had characterised the game in its early years.
As this is an original pack of music too, it would make sense for this to be a free add-on for Beat Saber, especially given the previous OSTs have been free. It's only been those premium packs with large music artists that have been paid DLC thus far.
Alongside the new music pack, the update that brings OST 5 to the party may also bring with it some features Beat Games has been teasing since earlier on in the year such as a new lighting system and some new block mechanics.
There are going to be two new block mechanics arriving in Beat Saber. The first one concerns the addition of lines players can trace with their sabers that look to guide blocks along a specific path.

The second one is a string of mini-blocks that players cut along a specific path but also contribute to their own beat in the wider song.
On the front of lighting, Beat Games had discussed a revamped system that is likely to bring with it more control for song makers and modders over the respective visual effects for each song.

The studio teased that such features would be arriving as 'part of the next update' back in mid-February, but it's unclear if they were referring to this music pack release or a bigger update.
After all, it may be difficult to update existing songs with new mechanics, and it could be easier to do so with a raft of new songs. We'll have to wait and see.
