Watch Dogs: Legion launched last month, and while it offers a fun romp through the streets of London, powered by an insane premise of unlimited playable characters, it's not been the smoothest ride.
The multiplayer component was due to launch late in 2020, but it was pushed back to early 2021 to allow for some improvements to be made to the single-player game.
Still, there's plenty to look forward to when you get to take your Dedsec operatives online.

Watch Dogs: Legion Multiplayer Release Date
After being delayed, the update will finally drop on March 9!
Explaining the delay, Ubisoft said:
"Since the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion, some of you continue to have technical issues preventing you from enjoying the game. The dev team is committed to fixing these issues and will not stop until everyone can experience the game as intended."
"As an immediate next step, this week, we are releasing Update 2.20 to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Stadia. The update will add a manual Save Game button to PC, as well as bring further stability improvements for Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PlayStation 4. You can find the full list of patch notes here."
Watch Dogs: Legion Multiplayer Modes
Once we do get online, Ubisoft has promised plenty of new gameplay opportunities.
Here's what you can expect:
- Co-op missions for 2 - 4 players
- Free roam online with friends
- Invasion
- Robot Wars (team deathmatch with spiderbots)
While the co-op missions sound like a great opportunity to team up with friends and their own bizarre characters, Invasion has the potential to be more interesting in Watch Dogs Legion than it has been in prior entries.
Essentially dropping a disguised player into another player's world, said invader needs to steal data from host without being caught.
