The online update will allow for players to free-roam in co-op with up to three friends, or engage in specific co-op mission types for two to four players.
There are also four-player Tactical Ops missions, as well as the return of the Spiderbot, this time in a deathmatch mode for four to eight players.
Invasion also makes a return, allowing players to infiltrate the worlds of other players.
There will also be additional content coming in 2021, including new characters, missions, and a New Game Plus mode.
Then there's the season pass content, which will include an expansion titled "Bloodline".
In it, players can find Aiden Pearce and Wrench from the first and second games respectively, as well as new characters Darcy (a modern-day member of the Brotherhood, as in the Assassin's Creed franchise), and Mina, capable of unleashing mind control powers.
